A suspicious package reported Tuesday afternoon near Hollywood High School turned out to be a backpack full of personal effects, police said.
Police responded to the intersection of Hawthorn Avenue and North Orange Drive, found the backpack on the sidewalk and determined there was no threat.
Nobody has claimed the backpack, police told Patch.
