Man Accused of Tweeting: '100 RT's and i'll shoot someone walking'

Dakkari Mcanuff was booked on suspicion of making criminal threats.

A 20-year-old man accused of posting photos on Twitter showing a rifle pointed toward Los Angeles streets, each with the caption "'100 RT's (Re-Tweets) and i'll shoot someone walking," was behind bars today on suspicion of making criminal threats.

Twitter has removed suspect Dakkari Mcanuff's account. But L.A. Weekly captured some of them cached.

Mcanuff was arrested around 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, after police learned of his Twitter account, authorities said.

Officers took Mcanuff into custody at his residence in the 700 block of Ninth Street, where an air rifle was discovered, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

He was booked into the LAPD's Central Station on suspicion of making criminal threats, and was being held in lieu of $50,000 bail, police said.
