A 53-year-old wheelchair-dependent man with the mental capacity of a 12-year-old was found Monday — apparently unharmed — a day after going missing from a medical center.
Modesto Olmos was last seen leaving the Brier Oak On Sunset medical and rehabilitative center, 5154 W. Sunset Blvd., about 8:30 a.m. Sunday, said Sgt. Mark Cohan of the Los Angeles Police Department's Hollywood Station.
Authorities had sought the public's help to find Olmos, who receives kidney dialysis three times per week and was due to his next treatment today.
Olmos was located this morning, and he apparently was unharmed, the LAPD reported. Details of his disappearance were not disclosed.
