Police Arrest Two Men on Suspicion of Burglary

Police pull over the men and find some unexpected items in their vehicle overnight.

Two men suspected of breaking into at least six vehicles parked near a Hollywood nightspot were arrested Friday after they were pulled over and found with purses and electronic equipment, police said.

The thefts took place late Thursday and early Friday on North Orange Drive and Hawthorne Avenue behind the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel at 7000 Hollywood Boulevard, said Sgt. Enrique Mendoza of the Los Angeles Police Department's Hollywood Station.

The items found in the vehicle were matched to those reported taken from vehicles behind the Roosevelt and the two men were arrested on suspicion of burglary, he said.

Mendoza did not disclose where or when the men were arrested, saying only that they were stopped for unknown reasons in "another jurisdiction."

Police did not identify the men.
