Mistaken Identity: Palm Springs Police Swarm Dental Office in Chris Dorner Search

Palm Springs police tell Patch they had received a tip that the fugitive wanted in connection to multiple murders might have been in town.

As if a trip to the dentist isn't scary enough for some, one man got a little extra scare in Palm Springs Friday night, as police swarmed into a dental office after receiving a tip that fugitive Christopher Dorner may have been there.

According to Palm Springs Police Sergeant Mike Kovaleff, PSPD "...received a report from a citizen that a subject resembling Suspect-Dorner had walked into a dental office in the 500 block of South Sunrise."

That report, made at 5:17 p.m., prompted an immediate response from the law enforcement agency, who was on scene at 5:20 p.m., according to Kovaleff.

"We contacted the reporting party, contacted office staff, and contacted a patient who reportedly had matched the description of Dorner," Kovaleff said.

"The subject was not Dorner and we cleared the call at 5:32 PM," he added.

Chris Dorner is suspected of three murders this week.  Police allege he first shot and killed a couple in an Irvine parking structure in a revenge-fueled shooting.  He's then accused of getting into a shootout in Corona, and fatally shooting a Riverside Police Officer.

I got a better idea. If you're a large black man. Join or do what you can help our real life Rambo. Funny that our real life Rambo has more corruption, racism and to deal with in the real police department than the fictional Rambo. That's so messed up! Oh and I didn't mean to single out just large black men. Any MAN that's in any way just should support this man. Now you know one reason why the founding fathers of our great country INSISTED that the citizens have the right to keep and bear arms! I wish there was some way we could help our modern day hero.

L.L. Cool J had better be careful when he go out because the LAPD or some other police officer may take him for Mr. Donner. It is sad to say, but the police department is not out to capture this man, they are out to kill him. They do not want it to come out that they still have racism in their mist. Anyone that resembles Mr. Donner needs to be very careful.

Our great country?. The founding fathers wanted citizens to be armed so this murderer could slaughter people unconnected to his beef with the LAPD? You think this killer is going to fix anything, make anything better? What's wrong in America, more than any other thing, is that this kind of reasoning and the perceptions that go with it, exist. Maybe if we trained our kids in the science of logic and critical thinking, they wouldn't wind up with a ten year-olds perception of a narcissistic, petty, murdering man-child like Alex here. My apologies if you really are ten. but it's time to grow up.

Unfortunately, there are STILL so many UNEDUCATED people that believe ALL black people look the same! Very, very sad.... I wonder what their (police) excuse is for the elderly women, whom do NOT resemble him!?
