Man Sentenced to Life for String of Hollywood Stabbings

Domingo Linares Rodas would target the homeless.

A 58-year-old man was sentenced today to life behind bars for a series of stabbings that targeted homeless victims in Hollywood in August 2009.

Domingo Linares Rodas was convicted March 24 of murder for stabbing Keith Fallin as the 43-year-old man slept outside the Music Box Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard on the afternoon of Aug. 6, 2009.

Rodas was also found guilty of attempted murder for stabbing Ronald Vaughn in the chest after seeing him walking along Argyle Avenue near Yucca Street about three hours later. Vaughn survived his wounds.

Rodas attacked another man during the same roughly three-hour period.

Jurors acquitted Rodas of two other killings -- the stabbing death of 52- year-old Roger Cota, who was killed a few blocks from Fallin on the same afternoon and the death of Frederic Lombardo, 45, who was found dead about three weeks earlier on the same block as Fallin was killed.
