Man Crashes Truck in Hollywood Hills, Jumps to His Death
It's not clear if alcohol was a factor in the incident, authorities said.
A man crashed his white pickup truck into the center divider of the northbound Hollywood (101) Freeway in the Hollywood Hills, ran across the southbound lanes of traffic and jumped from the right shoulder concrete barrier some 50 to 60 feet to his death Monday morning, according to a California Highway Patrol officer.
The man was believed to be in his 50s, CHP Officer Monica Posada said.
The incident began about 12:45 a.m. on the Hollywood Freeway north of Cahuenga Boulevard, Posada said.
