Man Charged With Attempted Murder in Ex-Girlfriend's Shooting

A 26-year-old man from Hollywood pleads not guilty to attempted murder.

A Hollywood man who allegedly shot his ex-girlfriend in the head during an argument at a Studio City hotel was charged today with attempted murder.

Michael Green, 26, pleaded not guilty late this afternoon in Van Nuys Superior Court, and was ordered to remain jailed in lieu of $2 million bail.

Green is accused of shooting his former girlfriend early Monday morning at the Sportsmen's Lodge, where the two were staying with their two young children.

Green fled with the children, ages 21 months and six months, after the shooting, according to Los Angeles police, who said he surrendered nearly 12 hours later at a Canoga Park home.

The victim is listed in stable condition, according to the District Attorney's Office.

Green faces up to 50 years to life in prison if convicted.
