Man Becomes Trapped under Metro Red Line Train in Hollywood

It was unclear how the man ended up under the train.

A 27-year-old suffered injuries to his back and an arm today when he became trapped under a Metro Red Line train in Hollywood, authorities said.

The man became trapped at the Hollywood Boulevard/Vine Street Station at 6250 Hollywood Blvd. about 4:45 p.m., Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles  Fire Department said.

The man, who was not entangled with the train, was removed by firefighters and taken to a hospital in fair condition, Humphrey said.

A preteen girl who suffered anxiety after witnessing the incident was examined at the scene, according to Humphrey.
