Man Badly Beaten in Hollywood, 2 Arrested

The victim, who was punched in the face early Saturday at Hollywood Boulevard and El Centro Avenue, is in stable condition at a hospital, police say.

Two men were arrested early Saturday morning after badly beating a man in Hollywood, a police sergeant said.

The attack at the intersection of Hollywood Boulevard and El Centro Avenue occurred about 12:15 a.m., said Los Angeles Police Department Sgt. George Hoopes, a watch commander at the Hollywood Station.

There was so much blood, police initially thought the victim had been stabbed, Hoopes said. But, actually, the victim had been punched in the face by the two men who had jumped out of a car to attack him.
