Justin Bieber Hits and Injures a Photographer in Hollywood [Updated]

Police investigating to find out who was at fault.

Justin Bieber was driving a car that struck a photographer in Hollywood and, even though he left the scene, the case was not believed to be a hit and run, police said today.

The accident in the 8000 block of Sunset Boulevard occurred about 11:45 p.m. Monday,  said Los Angeles police Officer Bruce Borihanh.

Bieber was pulling away from a curb when the photographer, who was standing in the roadway, was struck by the car while apparently attempting to take photos, Borihanh said.

"It was not a hit and run,'' Borihanh said. "The pedestrian being in the roadway was a major contributing factor in the collision.''

The photographer was not believed to be seriously hurt.

According to TMZ.com, Bieber was leaving the Laugh Factory in his white Ferrari with a passenger, and several photographers were on scene.

"Once Justin got behind the wheel, he motioned for some of the photogs to clear out of the way, but when he drove off, he appeared to pin one of them between the Ferrari and a parked car,'' TMZ reported. He told police he did not know he hit the photographer, according to TMZ.
