Police Thursday were investigating the fatal stabbing in Hollywood of a man in his 30s by a suspect they believe to be his roommate.
The victim, a man in his 30s, was stabbed multiple times in the chest by another man in front of the apartment building where both he and the suspect live. He was found lying on the street in the 1600 block of North Courtney Avenue, near the intersection of Hollywood Boulevard about 8:50 p.m., said Lt. "It was instrumental in the identification of the suspect," Randolph said of the witness' assistance.
The victim was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, but died soon after, he said.
Randolph said police at the scene believed the suspect may have been injured because he had blood on him, and had him transported to a hospital as well.
