Grass Fire Extinguished in Hollywood Hills Monday Night

It took an hour for 70 firefighters to knock down the blaze, reports the Los Angeles Fire Department.

A grass fire of less than an acre in the Hollywood Hills was extinguished in about an hour Monday night and no structures were threatened, authorities said.

Firefighters were called to 6800 W. Forest Lawn Drive where a grass fire was reported at 8:41 p.m., said Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

It took 70 firefighters, working with crews in two Los Angeles Fire Department helicopters, an hour to knock down the blaze.

The cause of the fire was under investigation, Humphrey said.
