Fourplex Burns in Miracle Mile

No injuries were reported at the structure in the 940 block of South Detroit Street.

A fire burned early Saturday night in a fourplex in the Miracle Mile area of Los Angeles, a city fire official said.

The fire was reported at 6:39 p.m. in the 940 block of South Detroit Street, said Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Rescuers arriving at the two-story fourplex reported smoke coming from the first floor, Humphrey said.

With 42 firefighters at the scene, the flames were under control in 39 minutes, Humphrey said.

No injuries were reported.
