Dutch Woman Reported Missing After Arriving at LAX

Lizette Raktoe traveled to the U.S. alone and is in need of medication, police say.

Police are asking for the public's help in locating a woman from the Netherlands who has been reported missing since coming to Los Angeles two days ago.

Lizette Raktoe, 43, disappeared after arriving at Los Angeles International Airport on Wednesday, according to a statement released by the Los Angeles Police Department. Raktoe is "in serious need of medication for a variety of medical problems," the statement said.

Raktoe is described as white, with brown hair and brown eyes, 5 feet 4 inches tall, and about 200 pounds.

Raktoe traveled to the United States alone. Since Wednesday, she has been spotted at a number of locations, including the LAX terminals, the Sheraton Gateway Los Angeles Hotel in the 6100 block of Century Boulevard, the Venice Beach area and in various parks on the Westside, police said.

Police are asking that if you see Raktoe or have any information about her whereabouts, please contact LAPD detectives Carmine Sasso or Kristin Merrill of the Missing Persons Unit at (213) 996-1800.
