DUI Checkpoint Planned for Hollywood

Police will be out in force on Friday.

The Los Angeles Police Department will erect two sobriety and license checkpoints tonight --  one in Van Nuys and one in Hollywood.

The first DUI stop will be located at Sepulveda Boulevard at Raymer Street in Van Nuys. It will run from 8 p.m. today to 2 a.m. Saturday, according to LAPD Officer Don Inman.

The second stop will be located on Hollywood Boulevard at Gower Street in Hollywood and also operate from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. Saturday, he said.

Funding for these operations was being provided by a grant from the
California Office of Traffic Safety through the National highway Traffic Safety
Administration, according to Inman.
