Driver Loses Consciousness, Careens up a Hollywood Sidewalk

Police question and release the woman, determining there was no crime.

A woman was questioned and released today after her vehicle mounted a sidewalk, collided with a moving vehicle and came to rest against a parked car, police said.

The woman's vehicle became lodged between a building and an electrical box in the 6600 block of Franklin Avenue in Hollywood around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday after she briefly lost consciousness, a videographer reported from the scene.

The woman then began to drive westbound on the sidewalk on Franklin, then turned left onto North Cherokee Avenue, narrowly missing a moving vehicle, before her vehicle came to rest against a parked car, the videographer reported.
