Cars Damaged In Hollywood Carport Fire

The fire was reported around 3:40 a.m.

As many as five cars were damaged Wednesday morning in a fire in the carport of an apartment building in Hollywood.

The fire in the 1300 block of Las Palmas Avenue was reported at 3:40 a.m. and knocked down at 3:54 a.m., said a Los Angeles Fire Department captain. As many as five cars were burned, a news photographer reported from the scene.

Fire department arson investigators were dispatched to the scene to determine the cause of the blaze, the captain said.
