Police Pursuit Ends in Hollywood

The driver was taken into custody after a brief chase.

A driver was arrested Thursday after a short pursuit in which collided with two other vehicles and then hit another vehicle at Normandie Avenue and Sunset Boulevard, police said.

The pursuit began at Hollywood Boulevard and El Centro Avenue, when gang officers spotted someone they thought was driving under the influence, according to Detective Ian Villanueva of the Los Angeles Police Department's Media Relations Section.

The brief pursuit took the driver and officers pursuing him on city streets and the Hollywood (101) Freeway before ending at Sunset Boulevard and Normandie Avenue at 4:11 p.m., Villanueva said.
