Alcohol Might Have Been a Factor in Man's Fatal Fall Onto Hollywood Freeway
Coroner's officials identify the man killed on Tuesday.
A man who died after falling or jumping onto a Hollywood (101) Freeway offramp in Hollywood on Tuesday morning may have been drinking beforehand, a coroner's official said.
The Cahuenga Boulevard offramp on the southbound side of the freeway was closed from around 4:30 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. for the investigation of the death, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Assistant Coroner's Chief Ed Winter identified the man as Paul Kent Norris, 38. His hometown was not immediately known, according to Winter, who said witnesses reported that Norris had been drinking and fell.
