Investigators believe the shooting was gang-related, Calderon said.
Neither victim was cooperating with investigators and no suspect information was available, he said.
About 15 minutes after the shooting, someone fired shots at a vehicle leaving a parking structure along Vine Street, Calderon said.
The vehicle was struck but no one inside was hit, he said, adding that it was unclear of the shootings were related.
