1 Dead, 1 Injured in Hollywood Restaurant Shooting
A man and a woman at Pink Pepper, a popular Thai restaurant, were the victims of a shooting on Friday night, reported police.
A woman was fatally shot in a Thai restaurant in Hollywood, and her male companion — also shot — was hospitalized after undergoing surgery, police said.
The shooting at the Pink Pepper, 1638 N. La Brea Ave., was reported at 10:17 p.m. Friday, Los Angeles police Office Norma Eisenman said. The woman was believed to have been in her 30s. Her name was unavailable early Saturday.
The man, whose name was withheld, underwent surgery for his wound or wounds and was expected to live, Lt. Marc Reina at the Hollywood Station said.

Three shots were reportedly fired, Eisenman said, shattering patio glass.
Police initially said they were looking for two male suspects who fled in a black sedan but that has since been ruled out, Reina said. No suspect description was available.
