Private Memorial Service for Casey Kasem Planned for Saturday

Only family and friends close to Casey will be invited to the service.

Casey Kasem's children will hold a private memorial service for the radio legend in the Los Angeles area Saturday.

Details for the event, including the location, were not released to ensure privacy. A spokesman for the siblings -- Kerri, Mike and Julie -- said "only family and friends close to Casey will be invited to the service."

It was unknown whether Kasem's second wife, Jean, would be among those at the service. Jean Kasem and the children waged a bitter legal fight in the final weeks of the radio host's life, battling over his medical care and ultimately the decision to stop providing him with food and medicine.
