Hollywood Today: Hollywoodland Homeowners Annual Meeting

Also: A Dance-a-Thon to fight children's cancer, a yard sale at Space 15 Twenty and a screening of 'Tommy' at the Egyptian Theatre are planned Sunday.

The annual Hollywoodland Homeowners Association meeting is scheduled to begin at 3:30 p.m. today at Besant Lodge, 2560 Beachwood Drive. During the meeting, the 2012 Hollywood Homeowners Association Board Members will be elected. A list of nominees is available online. Local activist Cary Brazeman will be the featured guest speaker. There will be special presentation given by Brian Lane of Koning Eizenberg Architecture to discuss ways to improve the village. [Full Agenda]

  • It's the last day to see James Roja's 30-foot diorama of Hollywood at Woodbury University's gallery, 6518 Hollywood Blvd. Rojas aims to give visitors a hands-on chance to shape and visualize what future development might look like in the community. See our feature video for more information.
  • The will be the site of the Lights. Camera. Cure. 2012 Hollywood Dance-a-Thon. The six-hour party begins at 1:30 p.m. and is a fundraiser to benefit the Four Diamonds Fund and their fight against children's cancer. The dance-a-thon will be hosted by Devon Werkheiser with inspirational speaker Charlie Lustman  of "The Musical Hope Tour,” Siren's Eye with lead singer Scott Michael Foster, and Drew Seeley from the High School Musical tour.   • Tommy will be screened at the Egyptian Theatre at 7:30 p.m. General admission tickets are $11. Seniors and Students can buy tickets for $9. Call 323-466-3456 for ticket information or purchase online.
  • Head to for their Sunday Yard Sale, a weekly flea market. Find vintage clothes, accessories, local designers, music, arts and crafts and more at this weekly event. Today's market is open 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
