Also: A benefit for the Children's Music Fund at the Laugh Factory and a performance by Cursive at Amoeba are planned Thursday.

Councilman Eric Garcetti comes into town Thursday morning to celebrate the opening of East Cahuenga Alley, or EaCa Alley as its sign says. The new walkway is located west of Cosmo Street between Hollywood Boulevard and Selma Avenue. It took several months for crews to . They regraded and realigned the storm drain system and installed security systems, pavement and lighting. Now people can take a stroll and enjoy outdoor dining and patio space. Thursday's grand opening is at 10 a.m.

Hollywood Patch will be there for the celebration. Follow us on Twitter and Facebook to take a peek at the finished project.
