HHWNC Supports Local Community Programs

HHWNC voted to support the Hollywood High School Drumline/L.A.C.E.R. Afterschool Program. The L.A.C.E.R. Afterschool Programs Mission is to provide underserved middle and high school youth with an arts and literacy based after-school program which includes visual art, music, dance, film, academic support, enrichment activities and a variety of sports in a safe and caring environment.  HHWNC recently brought equipment for the Drumline.  Hollywood High School's Drumline is unique because they are the sole entertainment at football games, school assemblies, and prep rallies.  HHWNC is proud to support the efforts of the Hollywood High School Drumline and the L.A.C.E.R. Afterschool Program

HHWNC also voted to support an educational garden at the Yucca Community Center.  The new garden aims to teach the children the importance of healthy eating as well as the basics of gardening.  HHWNC is excited to see what great fruits, vegetables and herbs the children will grow!

Lock It - Hide It - Keep It!

ALERT!  Car break-ins "Theft From Motor Vehicles"  is still a big problem in our area.  You can prevent becoming a victim by Not Leaving Anything Visible in Your Car!  Items left visible on the seat or console and a few seconds is all a thief needs to smash your car window and steal your possessions. Cell phones, GPS, lap tops, Ipads, cell phone chargers, Ipods, brief cases, money, personal mail and even a pair of sun glasses. Lock it - Hide it - Keep it!

When parking with a valet, at a shopping mall, theater, in your driveway or underground parking structure at home, please stash your stuff in the trunk, locked glove box, other compartments or at least under the seat and out of sight.

Attention hikers!  Runyon Canyon Park continues to be a prime spot for cars being broken into. Stash your possessions and Lock Your Cars!
