Community Fair Planned for Hollywood

The Hollywood Hills West Neighborhood Council's Area Three Committee will co-sponsor this week's event.

The is helping host a community fair Thursday.

The summer party aims to provide a fun atmosphere for the entire family. Games, raffles, face painting for children and a moon bounce are among the activities that will be offered.

"The point of the event is to get more people in this area involved, involved in their neighborhood while getting to know their neighbors," said Robin Moreno, chair of the Neighborhood Council's Area Three committee which is spearheading the event.

Arts and crafts as well as fingerprinting for kids and music and dancing are also scheduled. Prizes will be doled out to guests who show up in "the most authentic Hawaiian look," Moreno said.

In addition to the fun, people will be encouraged to take care of their health with blood pressure checks and health resource booths on hand.

The fair will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday at .

The event is being co-sponsored by and Las Palmas Senior Citizen Center, Moreno said.
