Bronson Canyon Gets Road Repairs, Access Limited

Canyon Road is closed to vehicles and pedestrians for the two-month project.

That bumpy road into the parking lot at Bronson Canyon is about to get smoother, but access to the park will be limited for the next couple months.

Canyon Road from the entry gate and up to Hollywoodland Girls Camp is closed to vehicles and pedestrians effective Monday through Oct. 5.

A security guard was stationed in front of the park Monday turning away cars.

The closure is due to a road improvement project. Crews will repair potholes, resurface the street and install new catch basins. The project is funded by Proposition K.

Several signs on Canyon Road, in the neighborhood north of Franklin Avenue, notifies drivers that access to the park is closed.
