Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center Physicians And Staff Volunteer At Grant Elementary School

On Saturday, May 17, Grant Elementary school in Hollywood, received a great new look and fence weaving from Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center (LAMC)
employees and Physicians who partnered with L.A. Works for Big Sunday Weekend.

The volunteers painted a motivational mural and weaved a fence to protect the privacy of the students when they are out for recess. “Big Sunday Weekend” is the signature event of the Big Sunday organization, the largest regional community service event in the U.S., engaging tens of thousands of volunteers of all ages, races, religions, ethnicities and socio-economic backgrounds from all over California. Big Sunday builds on Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center’s legacy of community service, and offers employees and physicians an opportunity to deepen community service partnership efforts with schools in our communities by offering individuals and teams working together a sense of community.

"We are committed to improving the health and lives of our patients and the communities we serve," said Mark Costa, Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center Executive Director. "Working together and supporting each other keeps us thriving."
