                Hollywood
Temple Beth El invites you to “Shabbat Shalom”, Shabbat Greetings, with Song,
Story, Spirit and Soul every last Friday of the month at the synagogue at 1317
N.Crescent Heights Avenue, at the corner of Fountain, in West Hollywood. Each
evening will feature a simple service to welcome in the spirit of the Shabbat,
a theme of dramatic readings and music, and fellowship and companionship at the
“ Oneg Shabbat”.

                The
first program of the series, “ Revolutionaries”, will be in honor of American
Independence Day and will be held Friday evening, June 27, at 7:30 PM. Special
readings will highlight the inspiration that July 4, 1776 provided not only to
the original thirteen colonies, but to the entire world, as well as the secure
shores that Jews and other refugees found here. There will be selections of
music by noted Jewish composers that reflect the Jewish experience in America.
Joining in the service, alongside Rabbi Norbert Weinberg will be pianist and
singer, Marcia Crews, and participating readers.
