LET “NIGHT” ENVELOP YOU AT SPECIAL SCREENINGS AT LAEMMLE’S PLAYHOUSE 7 ON FEBRUARY 6 AND LAEMMLE’S NOHO 7 ON FEBRUARY 7
A very special experience of exquisite visual beauty and sumptuously evocative music awaits audience members of two special screenings of “Night,” the prize-winning documentary by Australian filmmaker Lawrence Johnston. It’s the latest in a series of special screenings of award-winning motion pictures by Film Festival Flix, continuing on Wednesday, February 6 at Laemmle’s Playhouse 7 in Pasadena and Laemmle’s NoHo7 in North Hollywood.
Writer-director Lawrence Johnston loves the night and celebrates it. Some regard the night as the domain of fear and the unknown, but Johnston rejects these notions. Filming mainly in the beautiful cityscapes of Melbourne and Sydney, but also in locations throughout the breadth and depth of Australia, this movie explores the phenomenon that is Night, principally from a very positive perspective. In addition to its compilation of stunning visuals of city views and country vistas, people from all walks of life are interviewed to contribute their experiences of the nocturnal.
At each venue, a $14.00 ticket affords entrée to the entire evening’s Festival experience.
