Amusingly in the UK, Dames mean Christmas Pantomime Dames, played by men usually a TV comedian. It's a uniquely British thing. They add the sexual innuendo to keep the mums and dads awake in plays like Cinderella, Snow White, Aladdin where the male leads like Prince Charming are played by a glamorous girl. There's comedy side-kick and a villain to hiss and shout “Behind You“ as he creeps up. If your ever in London over Christmas with kids they are worth a punt as long as you don't expect Vegas production values because dodgy props are all part of the fun. http://www.darcyblaze.com/
