Community Corner

7th Annual HomeWalk 5k Run/Walk with Honorary Chair Kobe Bryant

The homeless capital of the US, L.A. County has 58,423 people living without a home. United Way’s 7th Annual HomeWalk 5K Run/Walk has again partnered with LA Lakers star Kobe Bryant to raise awareness and funds in order to bring an end to homelessness in our county.

For the last six years, thousands of community members have shown their support for HomeWalk, which has raised $3 million and moved over 13,000 people into permanent housing since it’s start. For the second year, the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation will match every donation of $100 or more.

With all proceeds going directly back to the community and an 85% success rate at keeping people off the streets for good, this event deserves all the support it can get.
