Youth Wanted for LAPD Cadet Program

Kids ages 13 up to 20 are able to apply.

The Los Angeles Police Department is offering youth around the city the opportunity to develop fundamental skills while working with LAPD officers.

The LAPD is now accepting applications for its Cadets Community Youth Program at police stations, including Hollywood, the Rampart Division and the Northeast Community Police Station.

In order to apply for the program, all prospective cadets must be between the ages of 13 and 20, have a good school record and no arrests or convictions. They should have "a good moral character" as well, according to the LAPD.
