Week in Review: Borders Closing, Anti-War Demonstration and L.A. Marathon
The Borders at Sunset and Vine will shut at the end of May and a liquidation sale will start soon.

4. Angelenos against the Iraq war in an eighth annual demonstration organized by the ANSWER Coalition. The march began at Hollywood and Vine and ended at Hollywood and Highland.
5. The got going on a rainy Sunday morning, with 26-year-old winner Markos Geneti breaking a record with a time of 2:06:35. It was Geneti's first marathon. He and Buzunesh Deba, the women's winner who passed the finish line with a time of 2:26:34, each won $25,000 and a Honda Insight EX sedan. The weather sent many participants to local hospitals, where they were evaluated for hypothermia.
