Traffic Alert: 'Mr. Popper's Penguins' to Waddle Down Hollywood Boulevard

The premiere of the Jim Carrey film will shut down the westbound lanes between Highland Avenue and Orange Drive from Saturday at 2 a.m. until Sunday at 9 p.m.

If you're planning to drive anywhere near the bustling Hollywood & Highland Center this weekend, you may want to plan an alternative route. 

The premiere of Mr. Popper's Penguins, Jim Carrey's new film, will shut down the westbound lanes of Hollywood Boulevard between Highland Avenue and Orange Drive from Saturday at 2 a.m. until Sunday, June 12 at 9 p.m. 

Walking? The mid-block crosswalk will also be closed from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and the south curb lane will be closed for the duration of the premiere. The north sidewalk will be closed from noon until 9 p.m.

Looking for a way to get to Hollywood & Highland? There's a parking garage on Orange Drive, accessible from Franklin Avenue, and the Metro Red Line has a Hollywood and Highland stop that drops riders off on Hollywood Boulevard.
