Movie Classics on the Big Screen

  • Where/When: ArcLight Hollywood, Friday-Sunday, see showtimes
  • What: ArcLight Hollywood continues its 10th anniversary celebration with a weekend full of classic movie screenings. See Stanley Kubrick films that include The Shining, Lolita, Full Metal Jacket, and Barry Lyndon. ArcLight will also play Ben-Hur, Doctor Zhivago and Gone with the Wind.
  • Pricing: $13.75 for adult tickets

  • Where/When: Your neighborhood fire station, Saturday, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
  • What: Los Angeles fire stations across town open their garage doors for a day of community outreach and fun. The biggest celebration is planned at Fire Station 27 and the adjacent LAFD Museum. Enjoy a pancake breakfast then explore the rich history of L.A. firefighters while walking through the museum.
  • Pricing: $5 pancake breakfast, free museum entrance

  • Where/When: Beachwood Village Green, Saturday, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
  • What: The annual Hollywoodland Arts & Crafts sale returns to the Beachwood Village Green in front of 2701 Belden Drive on Saturday in celebration of the canyon's creative residents. Find plein-air paintings, ceramics, pottery, jewelry cards, candles and more.
  • Pricing: No admission cost

  • Where/When: EaCa Alley, Sunday, 10 a.m. - 7 p.m.
  • What: Shop for produce, have a little breakfast at the Hollywood Farmers Market, then stop by the newest street market in Hollywood. You'll find a range of vendors in EaCa Alley. The main entrance is on Selma Avenue near Cahuenga Boulevard adjacent to Saint Felix Hollywood.
  • Pricing: No admission cost
