Photos: Final 'Harry Potter' Draws Loyal Fans to Grauman's Chinese Theatre

The Hollywood landmark hosts midnight screenings of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2" on Thursday night.

With moviegoers in costumes and snaking lines, Harry Potter mania hit Hollywood on Thursday night.

The staff at anticipated more than 2,000 moviegoers for the midnight screenings of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2, the final installment of the saga.

With a screen that's 72 by 30 feet, the large theater can seat about 1,100 people while six adjoining theaters can accomodate a total of 1,400.

After tickets sold out for the main theater, a 3:15 a.m. showing was added to accommodate fans.

Leading up to the midnight release, there was an "Ultimate Fan Celebration" held in the theater's forecourt that included a raffle for prizes.

For the past week the theater has been screening earlier installments of the saga. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part I aired just before the midnight showing.

For those planning to head to Grauman’s this weekend, ticket holders will receive free popcorn and may see a display of costumes from the Harry Potter movies in the lobby.
