Patch Remembers 9/11 in 911 Snapshots

Patch editors and Huffington Post editors compiled 911 stories related to the tenth anniversary of September 11, from veterans affairs to local firefighters.

In July, about a half dozen members of the Los Angeles Fire Department in Hollywood on a 3,000-mile cross-country bicycle journey to commemorate the tenth anniversary of 9/11.

Stories like these, 911 of them, are featured in an extensive photo display on Patch's sister site, HuffingtonPost.com. The images were collected by Patch editors across the country and tell the stories of lives lost on Sept. 11, Ground Zero heroism and the continuing toll from the wars that followed. They also reflect the resiliency of Americans, their hope in their children and the extraordinary changes for good wrought by a disaster that we now mark on its 10th anniversary.
