Partial Street Closure for 'Paul' Movie Premiere

Anticipate traffic delays this afternoon and expect to pay at least $3.93 a gallon for gas in Hollywood.

Good morning Hollywood! It's my first full week taking the helm of Hollywood Patch as editor. Thought I'd revive this column, which was formerly known as Exclusively Hollywood, published first thing each morning. I hope you'll find the information helpful as you plan your way around town.

Weather: Expect mostly sunny skies in Hollywood with a high near 73 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. Tonight we'll see a low around 51 degrees. Patchy fog is expected after 11 p.m. Sunrise: 7:05 a.m. Sunset: 7 p.m.

Lowest Gas Prices: According to LosAngelesGasPrices.com, the cheapest regular gas in the area is $3.93 a gallon at the Mobil Gas Station at 5700 Hollywood Blvd. near Wilton Place. Find the same price at the Shell Gas Station at 5657 Sunset Blvd. near North  Wilton Place.

Street Closure: Give yourself extra travel time getting around Hollywood and Highland today. A partial street closure is scheduled from noon to 11:30 p.m., according to NavigateHollywood. North and south curb lanes of Hollywood Boulevard between Highland Avenue and Orange Drive will be closed for the movie premiere of Paul at Grauman's Chinese Theatre. The No. 2 westbound lane of Hollywood will be closed from 5-8:30 p.m. and the north sidewalk of Hollywood will be closed from 2 -11 p.m. (a 7-foot walkway will be maintained for pedestrians).

Deal Alert: Tippr is featuring a package deal that includes one adult and one child admission ticket to Mars Needs Moms at the El Capitan Theatre for $22. Save $9 with this deal. The voucher is valid through April 21 for any showtime. See Tippr for details.

Happy Hour suggestion: Catch "Margarita Mondays" at Te'kila from 8 p.m. to close. Sip on $5 margaritas made with fresh ingredients and blue agave tequila. Never been? See what our in-house happy hour columnist Nicole Pajer had to say about her recent visit to the bar and restaurant.

In case you missed it, opened at the intersection of Hollywood and Vine on Friday. The bar, restaurant and lounge is the newest 24-hour gourmet eatery in the neighborhood.
