Man Arrested on Suspicion of Stalking at Halle Berry's Hollywood Hils Home

Police book Richard Franco, 27, after the actress identifies the man as the one who showed up in her backyard Saturday and Sunday.

Some watchful neighbors in Halle Berry's Hollywood Hills neighborhood Monday night assisted in catching a man who has shown up several times at the actress' home, police said.

Richard Franco, 27, was booked Tuesday on suspicion of stalking, said Sgt. George Hoops of the Los Angeles Police Department's Hollywood Station. The neighbors thought they had seen a burglar when they reported the incident.

Franco was arrested about 11:15 p.m. Monday. Berry identified him as the man who had showed up in her backyard on Saturday and Sunday, Hoops said.

He allegedly jumped over Berry's backyard wall Monday before her private security detail of off-duty police officers saw him on a security camera, the celebrity news website TMZ.com. reported.

Officers took Franco to the Hollywood Station, where he was booked early Tuesday, Hoops said, adding that Franco had been sought since he appeared at Berry's home Saturday.
