L.A. Zoo to Welcome Visitors from a Galaxy Far, Far Away

Stormtroopers, R2-D2 and Darth Vader will be roaming about Saturday during Star Wars Day.

Animals from the far reaches of this earth are on exhibit daily at the Los Angeles Zoo, but Saturday, some guests from a galaxy far, far away will be in town.

From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. zoo visitors will be able to meet Star Wars characters such as Stormtroopers, R2-D2 and the master of the dark side himself, Darth Vader. Members of the Rebel Alliance and others may be seen “roaming freely throughout the day," according to a news release.

Every hour from 11 a.m. through 3 p.m. visitors can catch a special feature from the upcoming Blu-ray release of Star Wars: The Complete Saga. Aspiring Jedis can also test their knowledge for a chance to win Star Wars-themed prizes.
