Hollywood Today: Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration at Forest Lawn

Also: A Marilyn Monroe double feature at the Egyptian Theatre and the Hollywood Farmers' Market are happening Sunday.

A celebration of the life of Martin Luther King Jr. is planned at Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills at 5 p.m. The 10th annual program includes a performance by the Inner City Youth Orchetra and a 60-member chorus. Rev. Cedric Bridgeworth will lead an invocation and benediction. The event is free and open to the public.

More happenings:

  • A Marilyn Monroe double-feature screening at the Egyptian Theatre of The Prince and the Showgirl and Some Like it Hot at 7:30 p.m. General admission tickets are $11.
  • The  is open every Sunday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The market is a certified open-air street market with approximately 100 farmers, 30 local artisans and 40 baked-goods and prepared-food vendors who sell their products. It is a direct-to-consumer marketplace with all produce and products from local, California vendors and growers.
