Did You Feel a Shake in Hollywood?

The 4.3 temblor hits Thursday afternoon.

Did you feel a slight jolt in Hollywood this afternoon?

The U.S. Geological Survey initially registered a 4.2 magnitude earthquake near Newhall at 1:47 p.m. Later, scientists updated the size to a 4.3.

Two temblors followed shortly: a 2.0 magnitude quake north of San Fernando at 1:50 p.m. and 2.3 magnitude quake in the same area at 1:53 p.m.

Los Angeles firefighters conducted a citywide assessment and said no damage or injuries were reported, LAFD spokesman Mike Spence said in an advisory.

Residents in the Hollywood area reported feeling the jolt. We received nearly a dozen responses on our Facebook page after wondering if it indeed was a quake or perhaps too much coffee in this editor's system.
