Community Plan: Last Chance to Comment in Hollywood is Thursday

The long-term planning document is expected to come before the Planning Commission in December for review.

The will be held Thursday night to gather input on the final environmental impact report for the Hollywood Community Plan Update. The plan sets long-term guidelines for land use, housing, public services, transportation and more. It's the first time city officials have updated the plan since its creation in 1988.

The open house is at 4:30 p.m., followed by the hearing at 6:30 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church of Hollywood, Mears Conference Center, 1760 N. Gower St.

During its draft stage, Hollywood Patch covered how the that could accommodate more pedestrians as the city plans to expand its Metro rail service in the future. The plan also to accommodate for growth in commercial and multifamily residential zones, which would dissolve development limitations such as building height and size.
