Community Update

I am the newest member of the Alto Nido Community and could not be happier ... Management and maintenance have performed professionally and promptly ... after reading some reviews I was concerned I'd made a very big mistake. I hadn't ... the place is great.

First, this is not the place for the faint of heart. If you need the Real House Wives of Beverly Hills ... the number 4 bus will get you to 90210. The building is old and in need of a face life ... so what? She has been standing on the top of Ivar Hill for 80 years and hasn't crumbled yet. That's Alto Nido's charm ... big and old and cool.

I visited the property unannounced and didn't expect much based on the exterior paint or lack of ... what's inside surprised me. The lobby and hallways were spotless ... old but spotless.

The unit I chose needed complete renovation and it got it. The last tenant must have been there for years based on its condition. There was no way I would have even considered what I saw ...

What sold me was the size of the apartment (MASSIVE...) my apartment has 3 closets (2 walk ins) and a "dressing room" that will accommodate an air mattress for late night sofa surfers ... and the view is the best in Hollywood. I can see forever.

The manager is a young woman in complete control of the property. Everything she told me would be done was done before schedule and correctly. Every time I have had an issue with the apartment she has immediately responded and followed up.

Understand that the manager is new and is caring for an old building. Since I've been here she has handled landscaping, elevator and boiler problems promptly and provided dates when services would be compromised. What more can be done?

To read some of these reviews about ineffective management or lacking maintenance hasn't been my experience at Alto Nido. It's old ... funky and a really cool place to live.
