Starbucks is planning to open its next coffee shop at one of the most famous intersections in the world.
The coffee shop is slated to open its doors at 6290 Hollywood Blvd. on Friday, a Starbucks representative said in an email to Patch.
Crews have been seen installing signs and delivering furniture to the storefront located on the ground level of the Taft Building. The immediate neighborhood is home to the Pantages Theatre, W Hollywood hotel and residences, The Broadway Lofts, The Lofts at Hollywood & Vine and 1600 Vine. The coffee shop is also close to the Hollywood/Vine Metro Red Line Station.
Judging by a sign on the door, it seems that the shop has gained a lot of interest from passersby. The sign posted at the main entrance on Wednesday read "Sorry we are closed."
Starbucks is moving into a space formerly occupied by the Holly Vine Shoppe, a convenience store.
Patch is still waiting for word from Starbucks on the new shop's hours and any opening day promotions.
