During the entire month of May, Yelp LA's All Starr Rum Cocktail Challenge highlights deliciously crafted Starr African Rum (http://www.africanrum....) beverages at bars all over LA. Starr African Rum has nominated some of LA's best mixologists and their unique concoctions and is asking you, the Yelp community, to try them and nominate your favorite ones. The top six cocktails who receive the most nominations by all of you will be placed on the All Starr Mixology Team LA.
Participating bars have each designed a special Starr rum cocktail that they are offering at a discount throughout the promotion, and they're inviting you to pull up a stool, sip away, and then cast your vote on your favorites. If you've had one of these bars bookmarked for a while, there's no better time than now to finally check it out!
Starr African Rum is distilled on the African island paradise of Mauritius and the packaging is made in South Africa. Starr is 100% made in Africa fair trade using environmentally sustainable distilling techniques. Starr has won numerous awards for excellence including the Gold Medal for Best Light Rum at the International Cane Spirit Festival. A few quick notes before getting to the participating bars/restaurants:
1) Yelp LA's All Starr Rum drink prices are only offered when you mention Yelp.
2) As some bars and restaurants may require reservations, make sure to call ahead if you plan on stopping by during a busy time. Tell them you are coming in for the Yelp Starr Cocktail Challenge and they will do their best to squeeze you in.

(You only get to vote once, so make it good!)- The top 6 cocktails will be served at the closing event to be held at The Roosevelt on Monday, June 6 (event details to come) from 7 to 9pm, where guests will vote for the ultimate Starr cocktail and name the MVP of the All-STARR Mixology Team. 4) Take pictures of you and your friends at the below bars and submit to laeast@yelp.com for a chance to be featured in the National Community Blog. Use Subject "All Starr Rum Cocktail Challenge photo" and be sure to include where you are and what you're drinking in the body of the email.
