Street Closures Coming for Hollywood Christmas Parade

Councilmembers Tom LaBonge and Mitch O'Farrell urge residents, business owners, and visitors to plan ahead and find alternate routes.

Councilmembers Tom LaBonge and Mitch O’Farrell urged residents, business owners, and visitors to plan ahead and find alternate routes to navigate Hollywood Boulevard and the Hollywood ChristmasParade which will take place this Sunday, December 1, 2013. 

Both Councilmembers announced that the Los Angeles Department of Transportation will close Hollywood Boulevard from La Brea to Gower Avenues, as well as many side streets, starting on Saturday, November 30. These closures will continue through the end of theparade on the night of Sunday, December 1.

This magnificent 82nd Annual Hollywood Christmas Parade benefits the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation. The event is produced by Associated Television International in collaboration with The City of Los Angeles. Kick off will begin on Sunday, December 1, 2013 with a pre-parade concert at 5:00 p.m., followed by the marvelous parade at 6:00 p.m. We are proud to announce that this year’s Grand Marshall, former American astronaut, and the second person to walk on the Moon, Buzz Alderin.
