MOONLIGHT REFLECTIONS - Oct 12 & 13

My self produced Dance Theater show, using storytelling and dance to express themes surrounding injury and healing.

As a dancer/choreographer, Tatiana has been involved in many productions, but Moonlight Reflections marks her first self-produced dance theater show. She's excited to embark on this journey, and combine her new work with earlier pieces from her studies at UCLA in the World Arts and Cultures department.

Tatiana Zamir's work surrounds the healing power of dance, and exploring ways to cope, restore, and even flourish through life's most challenging experiences. By addressing the various ways we are emotionally, psychologically, and physically injured through our formative years, she believes we can create a space for empowerment and healing.

With the foundation of movement as a healing tool, her show Moonlight Reflections is a rare blend of storytelling and dance, combining autobiographical solos alongside collective community issues through group choreography.

As we share our stories, we encourage others to share their experiences as well, and often discover that we are all telling versions of the same truth. As we face our fears and struggles, there is strength in knowing that we are not alone. Through our unique expressions, we can discover various pathways to healing and choose to become channels of Divine Light.

While dance is an empowering, important, and enriching part of culture and self-expression, it is also one of the most underfunded of the arts. Your support would help to nurture this amazing art form and continue to keep community art alive and flourishing.
